Erik Fontein
Erik started Silver Fox in 2023. Previously he had built up an extensive track record with almost 15 years of debt advisory at Nielen Schuman and NIBC where he was Head of Corporate Lending and initiated the Debt Advisory business.
He has advised on numerous growth and acquisition financing transactions as well as plain vanilla refinancings and more complex debt restructurings and has a vast experience in debt capital markets, private placements, structured finance and commercial real estate.
Erik holds an MSc Economy from the University of Groningen and an MSc International Finance from the Amsterdam Graduate Business School (UvA).
Silver Fox, what's in a name?
The 'silver' in Silver Fox stands for the capital and funding I'm arranging for my clients. The fox is a symbol of resourcefulness, being able to find creative solutions.
As it happens the first two letters of both my first and last name are right in the middle of silvER FOx.
The idea that Silver Fox refers to a good looking, middle-aged, grey haired man is of course pure speculation.
